Hidden Legends is a set in the EX series. It was released on June 1, 2004. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 102 cards. Machamp is 9/101, in position 9 of 102 on this checklist. Before it is 8 Jirachi, and after it is 10 Medicham. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Machamp is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Machamp (#068), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Machoke. In this catalog that name is Machoke (#067).

Hajime Kusajima illustrated this card. The same name is on 206 other cards in the catalog.

Machamp (#068) has 48 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 29 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Machamp 8/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 42 other cards of Machamp list a different HP.

Overzealous is listed as Poké-Body. If your opponent has any Pokémon-ex in play, each of Machamp's attacks do 30 more damage to the Defending Pokémon. The attack Brick Smash lists 40 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on the Defending Pokémon. Cross Chop is another attack lists 60+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 60 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

I keep a set binder for Hidden Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Hidden Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Machamp can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
