Registeel ex 100/106 · Emerald

Emerald is a set in the EX series. It was released on May 1, 2005. The printed size is 106. This checklist is longer, at 107 cards. Registeel ex is 100/106, in position 100 of 107 on this checklist. Before it is 99 Regirock ex, and after it is 101 Grass Energy. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Registeel ex is a Basic ex Metal Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Registeel (#379), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Hikaru Koike illustrated this card. The same name is on 46 other cards in the catalog.

Registeel (#379) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2026. The earliest other card is Registeel ex 99/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). Both list 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo EX. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Hikaru Koike illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Registeel list a different HP.

The attack Block Signal lists 10 damage. The cost is Colorless. If Regice ex is in play, flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Wide Laser is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. Does 20 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Emerald, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Emerald set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Registeel can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
