Ho-Oh LEGEND 112/123 · HeartGold & SoulSilver

Ho-Oh is Pokédex #250, generation 2 (Johto). Ho-Oh LEGEND is a LEGEND Fire Pokémon with 140 HP.

Ho-Oh LEGEND sits at 112/123 in HeartGold & SoulSilver, position 112 of 124. Before it is 111 Ho-Oh LEGEND, and after it is 113 Lugia LEGEND. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 10, 2010. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is LEGEND.

Sacred Rainbow is listed as Poké-Body. All Energy attached to Ho-Oh LEGEND are Fire Energy instead of their usual type. The attack Bright Wing lists 100 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire. Discard an Energy attached to Ho-Oh LEGEND. Weakness is Water ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Put this card from your hand onto your Bench only with the other half of Ho-Oh LEGEND. The flavor text reads "Legends claim this Pokémon flies the world's skies continuously on its magnificent, seven-colored wings."

Ho-Oh (#250) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ho-oh 52/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Ho-oh, while this one is Ho-Oh LEGEND. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is LEGEND. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Shinji Higuchi illustrated this one. 36 other cards of Ho-Oh list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shinji Higuchi. I count 3 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HeartGold & SoulSilver set binder is where a full HeartGold & SoulSilver set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ho-Oh can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Pokémon LEGEND. I still need this card.
