Lapras 24/123 · HeartGold & SoulSilver

Lapras is Pokédex #131, generation 1 (Kanto). Lapras is a Basic Water Pokémon with 90 HP.

Lapras sits at 24/123 in HeartGold & SoulSilver, position 24 of 124. Before it is 23 Hypno, and after it is 25 Ledian. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 10, 2010. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Ice Beam lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Ice Blade is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Water. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "They have gentle hearts. Because they rarely fight, many have been caught. Their number has dwindled."

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 36 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Suwama Chiaki illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Suwama Chiaki. I count 102 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HeartGold & SoulSilver set binder is where a full HeartGold & SoulSilver set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
