Ledian 25/123 · HeartGold & SoulSilver

HeartGold & SoulSilver is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 10, 2010. The printed size is 123. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. Ledian is 25/123, in position 25 of 124 on this checklist. Before it is 24 Lapras, and after it is 26 Meganium. The listed rarity is Rare.

Ledian is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Ledian (#166), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Ledyba. In this catalog that name is Ledyba (#165).

Yuka Morii illustrated this card. The same name is on 204 other cards in the catalog.

Ledian (#166) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Ledian 39/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yuka Morii illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Ledian list a different HP.

The attack Quick Draw lists 10 damage. The cost is Grass. Draw 3 cards. Swift is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on the Defending Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "The spot patterns on its back grow larger or smaller depending on the number of stars in the night sky."

I keep a set binder for HeartGold & SoulSilver, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HeartGold & SoulSilver set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ledian can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Yuka Morii clay cards. I still need this card.
