Ledian 23/109 · Team Rocket Returns

Team Rocket Returns is a set in the EX series. It was released on November 1, 2004. The printed size is 109. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. Ledian is 23/109, in position 23 of 111 on this checklist. Before it is 22 Furret, and after it is 24 Magby. The listed rarity is Rare.

Ledian is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Ledian (#166), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Ledyba. In this catalog that name is Ledyba (#165).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Ledian (#166) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Ledian 39/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Ledian list a different HP.

Powder Protection is listed as Poké-Body. Any damage done to Ledian by attacks from Pokémon that has an owner in its name is reduced by 40. The attack Split Spiral Punch lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Tackle is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Team Rocket Returns, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Team Rocket Returns set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ledian can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
