Umbreon 10/90 · HS—Undaunted

HS—Undaunted is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on August 18, 2010. The printed size is 90. This checklist is longer, at 91 cards. Umbreon is 10/90, in position 10 of 91 on this checklist. Before it is 9 Togekiss, and after it is 11 Dodrio. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Umbreon is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Umbreon (#197), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Umbreon (#197) has 45 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Umbreon 13/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Kimiya Masago illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 44 other cards of Umbreon list a different HP.

The attack Moonlight Fang lists 30 damage. The cost is Darkness. During your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects, including damage, done to Umbreon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon that has any Poké-Powers or Poké-Bodies. Quick Blow is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 30 damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "When agitated, this Pokémon protects itself by spraying poisonous sweat from its pores."

I keep a set binder for HS—Undaunted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HS—Undaunted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Umbreon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions and Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
