Espeon 81/90 · HS—Undaunted

HS—Undaunted is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on August 18, 2010. The printed size is 90. This checklist is longer, at 91 cards. Espeon is 81/90, in position 81 of 91 on this checklist. Before it is 80 Metal Energy, and after it is 82 Houndoom. The listed rarity is Rare Prime.

Espeon is a Stage 1 Prime Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Espeon (#196), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Hideaki Hakozaki illustrated this card. The same name is on 35 other cards in the catalog.

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Prime. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Hideaki Hakozaki illustrated this one. 39 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

Evolution Memories is listed as Poké-Body. Espeon can use the attacks of all Pokémon you have in play that evolve from Eevee as its own. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.) The attack Solar Ray lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Remove 1 damage counter from each of your Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for HS—Undaunted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HS—Undaunted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
