Aggron 1/102 · HS—Triumphant

Aggron is Pokédex #306, generation 3 (Hoenn). Aggron is a Stage 2 Metal Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Lairon. In this catalog that name is Lairon (#305).

Aggron sits at 1/102 in HS—Triumphant, position 1 of 103. The next card is 2 Altaria. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on November 3, 2010. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Second Strike lists 40 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon already has any damage counters on it, this attack does 40 damage plus 40 more damage. Guard Claw is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to Aggron by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "You can tell its age by the length of its iron horns. It claims an entire mountain as its territory."

Aggron (#306) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Aggron 1/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Aggron list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Triumphant set binder is where a full HS—Triumphant set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Aggron can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
