Altaria 2/102 · HS—Triumphant

HS—Triumphant is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on November 3, 2010. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. Altaria is 2/102, in position 2 of 103 on this checklist. Before it is 1 Aggron, and after it is 3 Celebi. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Altaria is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Altaria (#334), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Ryo Ueda illustrated this card. The same name is on 462 other cards in the catalog.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The attack Midnight Eyes lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Stadium Power is another attack lists 40+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. If there is any Stadium card in play, this attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Colorless ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "It flies gracefully through the sky. Its melodic humming makes you feel like you're in a dream."

I keep a set binder for HS—Triumphant, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the HS—Triumphant set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
