Sharpedo 30/102 · HS—Triumphant

Sharpedo is Pokédex #319, generation 3 (Hoenn). Sharpedo is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Carvanha. In this catalog that name is Carvanha (#318).

Sharpedo sits at 30/102 in HS—Triumphant, position 30 of 103. Before it is 29 Pidgeot, and after it is 31 Wailord. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on November 3, 2010. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 103 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Strip Bare lists 20 damage. The cost is Darkness. Flip 2 coins. If both of them are heads, your opponent discards all card from his or her hand. Rage is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Does 50 damage plus 10 more damage for each damage counter on Sharpedo. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It can swim at speeds of 75 mph by jetting seawater through its body. It is the bandit of the sea."

Sharpedo (#319) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Sharpedo 22/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and MAHOU illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Sharpedo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads MAHOU. I count 122 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Triumphant set binder is where a full HS—Triumphant set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sharpedo can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
