Ninetales 20/132 · Mega Evolution

Mega Evolution is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on September 26, 2025. The printed size is 132. This checklist is longer, at 188 cards. Ninetales is 20/132, in position 20 of 188 on this checklist. Before it is 19 Vulpix, and after it is 21 Numel. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Ninetales is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Ninetales (#038), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Vulpix. In this catalog that name is Vulpix (#037).

Ninetales (#038) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 40 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ninetales 12/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. 47 other cards of Ninetales list a different HP.

The attack Supernatural Shapeshifter lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Discard the top card of your deck, and if that card is a Supporter card, use the effect of that card as the effect of this attack. Combustion is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Mega Evolution, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Mega Evolution set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ninetales can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
