5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Empoleon (#395) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Empoleon 4/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Empoleon, while this one is Empoleon ex. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 320 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Double Rare. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Empoleon list a different HP.

Emperor's Stance is listed as Ability. Prevent all effects of attacks used by your opponent's Pokémon done to this Pokémon. (Damage is not an effect.) The attack Iron Feathers lists 210 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 60 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Grass -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Phantasmal Flames, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Phantasmal Flames set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Empoleon can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
