Numel 223/217 · Ascended Heroes

Numel is Pokédex #322, generation 3 (Hoenn). Numel is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 80 HP.

Numel sits at 223/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 223 of 295. Before it is 222 Ethan's Magcargo, and after it is 224 Salazzle. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is Illustration Rare.

Incandescent Body is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokémon (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), the Attacking Pokémon is now Burned. The attack Combustion lists 20 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "The magma in its body reaches 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Its hump gets smaller when it uses Fire-type moves." The regulation mark is I.

Numel (#322) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Numel 61/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Illustration Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yoshimi Miyoshi illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 17 other cards of Numel list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Yoshimi Miyoshi. I count 4 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Numel can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
