Skarmory 60/84 · Pitch Black

Pitch Black is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on July 17, 2026. The printed size is 84. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Skarmory is 60/84, in position 60 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 59 Chi-Yu, and after it is 61 Shieldon. The listed rarity is Common.

Skarmory is a Basic Metal Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Skarmory (#227), generation 2 (Johto).

Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this card. The same name is on 134 other cards in the catalog.

Skarmory (#227) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Skarmory 13/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Common. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 28 other cards of Skarmory list a different HP.

The attack Steel Cutter lists 40× damage. The cost is Metal. Discard up to 2 Basic Metal Energy cards from your hand, and this attack does 40 damage for each card you discarded in this way. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Because it nests in bramble bushes, the feathers of its chicks grow hard from being scratched by thorns." The regulation mark is J.

I keep a set binder for Pitch Black, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Pitch Black set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Skarmory can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
