Armarouge 86/84 · Pitch Black

Pitch Black is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on July 17, 2026. The printed size is 84. This checklist is longer, at 120 cards. Armarouge is 86/84, in position 86 of 120 on this checklist. Before it is 85 Fomantis, and after it is 87 Goldeen. The collector number is above the printed set size of 84. Armarouge is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Armarouge (#936), generation 9 (Paldea). The card says it evolves from Charcadet. In this catalog that name is Charcadet (#935).

Iwamoto05 illustrated this card. The same name is on 2 other cards in the catalog.

Armarouge (#936) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2026. The earliest other card is Armarouge ex 105/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). That card is named Armarouge ex, while this one is Armarouge. That card lists 260 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Illustration Rare. PLANETA Tsuji illustrated that card, and Iwamoto05 illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is H, and here it is J. 9 other cards of Armarouge list a different HP.

The attack Flame Legion lists 40+ damage. The cost is Fire. This attack does 40 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon that has any Fire Energy attached. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon clads itself in armor that has been fortified by psychic and fire energy, and it shoots blazing fireballs." The regulation mark is J.

I keep a set binder for Pitch Black, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Pitch Black set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Armarouge can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). I still need this card.
