Lugia 149/27 · 30th Celebration: Classic Collection

30th Celebration: Classic Collection is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on September 16, 2026. This checklist has 27 cards. Lugia is 149/27, in position 26 of 27 on this checklist. Before it is 138 Zacian V, and after it is 203 Magikarp. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Lugia is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lugia (#249), generation 2 (Johto).

Naoyo Kimura illustrated this card. The same name is on 256 other cards in the catalog.

Lugia (#249) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lugia 9/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Secret. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 35 other cards of Lugia list a different HP.

Crystal Type is listed as Poké-BODY. Whenever you attach a Fire, Water, or Psychic basic Energy card from your hand to Lugia, Lugia's type (color) becomes the same as that Energy card type until the end of the turn. The attack Psychic lists 10× damage. The cost is Psychic, Fire. This attack does 10 damage times the number of Energy cards attached to the Defending Pokémon. Steam Blast is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Fire, Colorless. Discard an Energy card attached to Lugia. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 3.

I keep a set binder for 30th Celebration: Classic Collection, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the 30th Celebration: Classic Collection set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lugia can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
