Ludicolo 20/40 · Nintendo Black Star Promos

Ludicolo is Pokédex #272, generation 3 (Hoenn). Ludicolo is a Stage 2 Water Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Lombre. In this catalog that name is Lombre (#271).

Ludicolo sits at 20/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos, position 20 of 40. Before it is 19 Whismur, and after it is 21 Jirachi. The set belongs to the NP series. It was released on October 1, 2003. The printed size is 40, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

Rain Dish is listed as Poké-Body. At any time between turns, remove 1 damage counter from Ludicolo. The attack Fury Swipes lists 30× damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2.

Ludicolo (#272) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Ludicolo 7/100 in Sandstorm (2003). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Tomokazu Komiya illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Ludicolo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Nintendo Black Star Promos set binder is where a full Nintendo Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ludicolo can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
