Vikavolt 59/214 · Unbroken Bonds

Unbroken Bonds is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 3, 2019. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 238 cards. Vikavolt is 59/214, in position 59 of 238 on this checklist. Before it is 58 Charjabug, and after it is 60 Zeraora. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Vikavolt is a Stage 2 Lightning Pokémon with 150 HP. In the Pokédex this is Vikavolt (#738), generation 7 (Alola). The card says it evolves from Charjabug. In this catalog that name is Charjabug (#737).

Hasuno illustrated this card. The same name is on 74 other cards in the catalog.

Vikavolt (#738) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Vikavolt 52/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 150 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Hitoshi Ariga illustrated that card, and Hasuno illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 10 other cards of Vikavolt list a different HP.

Stealthy Body is listed as Ability. If there is any Stadium card in play, this Pokémon has no Weakness. The attack Electricannon lists 120+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. You may discard all Lightning Energy from this Pokémon. If you do, this attack does 100 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It has an organ that generates electricity in its abdomen. It concentrates energy in its strong jaws and fires off powerful jolts of electricity."

I keep a set binder for Unbroken Bonds, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Unbroken Bonds set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Vikavolt can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
