Bibarel 172/236 · Unified Minds

Bibarel is Pokédex #400, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Bibarel is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Bidoof. In this catalog that name is Bidoof (#399).

Bibarel sits at 172/236 in Unified Minds, position 173 of 261. Before it is 171 Bidoof, and after it is 173 Munchlax. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 2, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 261 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Unaware is listed as Ability. Prevent all effects of your opponent's attacks, except damage, done to this Pokémon. The attack Amnesia lists 60 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Active Pokémon's attacks. That Pokémon can't use that attack during your opponent's next turn. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It busily makes its nest with stacks of branches and roots it has cut up with its sharp incisors."

Bibarel (#400) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Bibarel 20/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. 7 other cards of Bibarel list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Unified Minds set binder is where a full Unified Minds set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bibarel can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
