Alolan Marowak 75/236 · Unified Minds

Marowak is Pokédex #105, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Marowak is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Cubone. In this catalog that name is Cubone (#104).

Alolan Marowak sits at 75/236 in Unified Minds, position 75 of 261. Before it is 74 Exeggutor, and after it is 76 Jynx. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 2, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 261 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Spirit Smash lists no damage number. Discard the top card of your opponent's deck. If the card you discarded is a Pokémon, this attack does damage equal to that Pokémon's HP to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Bone Beatdown is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "The rich greenery of the Alola region is hard on Marowak. It controls fire to stay alive."

Marowak (#105) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Marowak 39/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Marowak, while this one is Alolan Marowak. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 16 other cards of Marowak list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Unified Minds set binder is where a full Unified Minds set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Marowak can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms. I still need this card.
