Torkoal 29/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Torkoal is Pokédex #324, generation 3 (Hoenn). Torkoal is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 110 HP.

Torkoal sits at 29/236 in Cosmic Eclipse, position 29 of 272. Before it is 28 Entei, and after it is 30 Victini. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Fire Fling lists no damage number. The cost is Fire. Put 4 Fire Energy cards from your discard pile into your hand. Kindle is another attack lists 100 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Fire. Discard an Energy from this Pokémon. If you do, discard an Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "You can tell how it's feeling by the smoke spouting from its shell. Tremendous velocity is a sign of good health."

Torkoal (#324) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Torkoal 12/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and 0313 illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 18 other cards of Torkoal list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 0313. I count 62 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Cosmic Eclipse set binder is where a full Cosmic Eclipse set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Torkoal can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
