Dusknoir 85/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Dusknoir is Pokédex #477, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Dusknoir is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP. The card says it evolves from Dusclops. In this catalog that name is Dusclops (#356).

Dusknoir sits at 85/236 in Cosmic Eclipse, position 85 of 272. Before it is 84 Dusclops, and after it is 86 Rotom. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Grim Marking is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon and is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. The attack Psych Up lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic. During your next turn, this Pokémon's Psych Up attack does 60 more damage (before applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It is said to take lost spirits into its pliant body and guide them home."

Dusknoir (#477) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Dusknoir 2/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Takabon illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Dusknoir list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Cosmic Eclipse set binder is where a full Cosmic Eclipse set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dusknoir can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
