Komala 114/145 · Guardians Rising

Komala is Pokédex #775, generation 7 (Alola). Komala is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 80 HP.

Komala sits at 114/145 in Guardians Rising, position 119 of 180. Before it is 113 Bewear, and after it is 115 Drampa-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 5, 2017. The printed size is 145. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Comatose is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, whenever you attach an Energy from your hand to it, it is now Asleep. The attack Hypno Roll lists 100 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack can be used if this Pokémon is Asleep. If it is not Asleep, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It is born asleep, and it dies asleep. All its movements are apparently no more than the results of it tossing and turning in its dreams."

Komala (#775) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Komala SM41/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. nagimiso illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Komala list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Guardians Rising set binder is where a full Guardians Rising set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Komala can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
