Alolan Ninetales-GX 150/145 · Guardians Rising

Ninetales is Pokédex #038, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Ninetales-GX is a Stage 1 GX Water Pokémon with 210 HP. The card says it evolves from Alolan Vulpix. In this catalog that name is Vulpix (#037).

Alolan Ninetales-GX sits at 150/145 in Guardians Rising, position 160 of 180. Before it is 149 Primarina-GX, and after it is 151 Wishiwashi-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 5, 2017. The printed size is 145. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 145. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

The attack Ice Blade lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Blizzard Edge is another attack lists 160 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Ice Path-GX is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Move all damage counters from this Pokémon to your opponent's Active Pokémon. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Ninetales (#038) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 41 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ninetales 12/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Ninetales, while this one is Alolan Ninetales-GX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 52 other cards of Ninetales list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Guardians Rising set binder is where a full Guardians Rising set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ninetales can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms and Vulpix and Ninetales. I still need this card.
