Wishiwashi 37/145 · Guardians Rising

Wishiwashi is Pokédex #746, generation 7 (Alola). Wishiwashi is a Basic Water Pokémon with 30 HP.

Wishiwashi sits at 37/145 in Guardians Rising, position 39 of 180. Before it is 36 Alomomola, and after it is 38 Wishiwashi-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 5, 2017. The printed size is 145. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. The listed rarity is Common.

Schooling is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may switch this Pokémon with a Wishiwashi-GX in your hand. Any attached cards, damage counters, Special Conditions, turns in play, and any other effects remain on the new Pokémon. The attack Sharpshooting lists no damage number. The cost is Water. This attack does 10 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Lightning ×2. The flavor text reads "When it's in trouble, its eyes moisten and begin to shine. The shining light attracts its comrades, and they stand together against their enemies."

Wishiwashi (#746) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 7 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Wishiwashi 44/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 30 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Common. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this one. 6 other cards of Wishiwashi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Sanosuke Sakuma. I count 158 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Guardians Rising set binder is where a full Guardians Rising set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wishiwashi can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
