Toxicroak 57/156 · Ultra Prism

Ultra Prism is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 2, 2018. The printed size is 156. This checklist is longer, at 178 cards. Toxicroak is 57/156, in position 57 of 178 on this checklist. Before it is 56 Croagunk, and after it is 58 Giratina ◇. The listed rarity is Rare.

Toxicroak is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Toxicroak (#454), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Croagunk. In this catalog that name is Croagunk (#453).

Hasuno illustrated this card. The same name is on 74 other cards in the catalog.

Toxicroak (#454) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Toxicroak G DP41/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Toxicroak G, while this one is Toxicroak. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Ryota Saito illustrated that card, and Hasuno illustrated this one. 19 other cards of Toxicroak list a different HP.

The attack Poison Jab lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Exact Revenge is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. If any of your Fighting Pokémon were Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack during their last turn, this attack does 70 more damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its knuckle claws secrete a toxin so vile that even a scratch could prove fatal."

I keep a set binder for Ultra Prism, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Ultra Prism set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Toxicroak can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
