Giratina ◇ 58/156 · Ultra Prism

Giratina is Pokédex #487, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Giratina ◇ is a Basic Prism Star Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP.

Giratina ◇ sits at 58/156 in Ultra Prism, position 58 of 178. Before it is 57 Toxicroak, and after it is 59 Cresselia. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 2, 2018. The printed size is 156. This checklist is longer, at 178 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Prism Star.

Chaotic Star is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may attach 2 Psychic Energy cards from your hand to it. The attack Crisis Dive lists 160 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: ◇ (Prism Star) Rule: You can't have more than 1 ◇ card with the same name in your deck. If a ◇ card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead. The flavor text reads "It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World."

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina ◇. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Prism Star. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 29 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ultra Prism set binder is where a full Ultra Prism set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina and Prism Star and Star cards. I still need this card.
