Lunala ◇ 62/156 · Ultra Prism

Ultra Prism is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 2, 2018. The printed size is 156. This checklist is longer, at 178 cards. Lunala ◇ is 62/156, in position 62 of 178 on this checklist. Before it is 61 Cosmoem, and after it is 63 Dawn Wings Necrozma-GX. The listed rarity is Rare Prism Star.

Lunala ◇ is a Basic Prism Star Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lunala (#792), generation 7 (Alola).

Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this card. The same name is on 155 other cards in the catalog.

Lunala (#792) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lunala-GX 66/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). That card is named Lunala-GX, while this one is Lunala ◇. That card lists 250 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo GX, and here it is Rare Prism Star. PLANETA illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 10 other cards of Lunala list a different HP.

The attack Full Moon Star lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. For each of your opponent's Pokémon in play, attach a Psychic Energy card from your discard pile to your Pokémon in any way you like. Psystorm is another attack lists 20× damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. This attack does 20 damage times the amount of Energy attached to all Pokémon. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: ◇ (Prism Star) Rule: You can't have more than 1 ◇ card with the same name in your deck. If a ◇ card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead. The flavor text reads "Said to live in another world, this Pokémon devours light, drawing the moonless dark veil of night over the brightness of day."

I keep a set binder for Ultra Prism, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Ultra Prism set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lunala can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Prism Star and Star cards. I still need this card.
