Lunala-GX SM17/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Lunala is Pokédex #792, generation 7 (Alola). Lunala-GX is a Stage 2 GX Psychic Pokémon with 250 HP. The card says it evolves from Cosmoem. In this catalog that name is Cosmoem (#790).

Lunala-GX sits at SM17/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 17 of 251. Before it is SM16 Solgaleo-GX, and after it is SM18 Alolan Sandslash. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Psychic Transfer is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Psychic Energy from 1 of your Pokémon to another of your Pokémon. The attack Moongeist Beam lists 120 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. The Defending Pokémon can't be healed during your opponent's next turn. Lunar Fall-GX is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. Knock Out 1 of your opponent's Basic Pokémon that isn't a Pokémon-GX. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Lunala (#792) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lunala-GX 66/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 250 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo GX, and here it is Promo. PLANETA illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Lunala list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lunala can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
