Alolan Exeggutor 2/131 · Forbidden Light

Exeggutor is Pokédex #103, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Exeggutor is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 160 HP. The card says it evolves from Exeggcute. In this catalog that name is Exeggcute (#102).

Alolan Exeggutor sits at 2/131 in Forbidden Light, position 2 of 150. Before it is 1 Exeggcute, and after it is 2a Alolan Exeggutor. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 4, 2018. The printed size is 131. This checklist is longer, at 150 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Tropical Shake lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass. This attack does 20 more damage for each type of basic Energy card in your discard pile. You can't add more than 100 damage in this way. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "As it grew taller and taller, it outgrew its reliance on psychic powers, while within it awakened the power of the sleeping dragon."

Exeggutor (#103) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 33 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Exeggutor 35/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Exeggutor, while this one is Alolan Exeggutor. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Satoshi Shirai illustrated this one. 45 other cards of Exeggutor list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Satoshi Shirai. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Forbidden Light set binder is where a full Forbidden Light set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Exeggutor can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
