Infernape 59/131 · Forbidden Light

Infernape is Pokédex #392, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Infernape is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Monferno. In this catalog that name is Monferno (#391).

Infernape sits at 59/131 in Forbidden Light, position 60 of 150. Before it is 58 Torterra, and after it is 60 Gible. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 4, 2018. The printed size is 131. This checklist is longer, at 150 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Flaming Fighter is listed as Ability. Put 6 damage counters instead of 2 on your opponent's Burned Pokémon between turns. The attack Burst Punch lists 50 damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Burned. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style."

Infernape (#392) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Infernape 5/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Infernape list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Forbidden Light set binder is where a full Forbidden Light set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Infernape can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
