Lombre 37/168 · Celestial Storm

Celestial Storm is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 3, 2018. The printed size is 168. This checklist is longer, at 187 cards. Lombre is 37/168, in position 38 of 187 on this checklist. Before it is 36 Lotad, and after it is 38 Ludicolo. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Lombre is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lombre (#271), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Lotad. In this catalog that name is Lotad (#270). The card lists Ludicolo, Ludicolo (#272) under evolves to.

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Lombre (#271) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Lombre 45/100 in Sandstorm (2003). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Tomokazu Komiya illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Lombre list a different HP.

Aqua Lift is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon has any Water Energy attached to it, it has no Retreat Cost. The attack Ambush lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It has a mischievous spirit. If it spots an angler, it will tug on the fishing line to interfere."

I keep a set binder for Celestial Storm, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Celestial Storm set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lombre can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Atsuko Nishida cards, later series. I still need this card.
