Metang 94/168 · Celestial Storm

Metang is Pokédex #375, generation 3 (Hoenn). Metang is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Beldum. In this catalog that name is Beldum (#374). The card lists Metagross, Metagross (#376) under evolves to.

Metang sits at 94/168 in Celestial Storm, position 95 of 187. Before it is 93 Beldum, and after it is 95 Metagross. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 3, 2018. The printed size is 168. This checklist is longer, at 187 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Bullet Punch lists 20+ damage. The cost is Metal. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 20 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It adores magnetic minerals, so it pursues Nosepass at speeds exceeding 60 mph."

Metang (#375) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Metang 23/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and SATOSHI NAKAI illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 22 other cards of Metang list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads SATOSHI NAKAI. I count 58 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celestial Storm set binder is where a full Celestial Storm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Metang can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
