Scizor 126/214 · Lost Thunder

Lost Thunder is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 2, 2018. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 240 cards. Scizor is 126/214, in position 126 of 240 on this checklist. Before it is 125 Steelix, and after it is 127 Dialga. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Scizor is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Scizor (#212), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Scyther. In this catalog that name is Scyther (#123).

Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this card. The same name is on 134 other cards in the catalog.

Scizor (#212) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Scizor 33/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Hironobu Yoshida illustrated that card, and Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 31 other cards of Scizor list a different HP.

Exoskeleton is listed as Ability. This Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Special Blow lists 60+ damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon has any Special Energy attached to it, this attack does 70 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Once it has identified an enemy, this Pokémon smashes it mercilessly with pincers hard as steel."

I keep a set binder for Lost Thunder, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Lost Thunder set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Scizor can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
