Shiinotic 148/214 · Lost Thunder

Lost Thunder is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 2, 2018. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 240 cards. Shiinotic is 148/214, in position 148 of 240 on this checklist. Before it is 147 Morelull, and after it is 149 Mimikyu-GX. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Shiinotic is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Shiinotic (#756), generation 7 (Alola). The card says it evolves from Morelull. In this catalog that name is Morelull (#755).

Suwama Chiaki illustrated this card. The same name is on 102 other cards in the catalog.

Shiinotic (#756) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2024. The earliest other card is Shiinotic 17/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Mizue illustrated that card, and Suwama Chiaki illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Shiinotic list a different HP.

Effect Spore is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon and is damaged by an opponent's attack (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), the Attacking Pokémon is now Asleep. The attack Dream's Touch lists 50 damage. The cost is Fairy, Fairy. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is Asleep, your opponent shuffles all Energy from it into their deck. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It emits flickering spores that cause drowsiness. When its prey succumb to sleep, this Pokémon feeds on them by sucking in their energy."

I keep a set binder for Lost Thunder, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Lost Thunder set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shiinotic can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
