Raikou 79/214 · Lost Thunder

Raikou is Pokédex #243, generation 2 (Johto). Raikou is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 120 HP.

Raikou sits at 79/214 in Lost Thunder, position 79 of 240. Before it is 78 Ampharos, and after it is 80 Pachirisu. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 2, 2018. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 240 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Lost Voltage lists 30+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless. If you have any Lightning Energy cards in the Lost Zone, this attack does 90 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This rough Pokémon stores energy inside its body, then sweeps across the land, shooting off electricity."

Raikou (#243) has 26 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raikou 13/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 22 other cards of Raikou list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Lost Thunder set binder is where a full Lost Thunder set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raikou can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
