Ninetales 16/181 · Team Up

Ninetales is Pokédex #038, generation 1 (Kanto). Ninetales is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Vulpix. In this catalog that name is Vulpix (#037).

Ninetales sits at 16/181 in Team Up, position 16 of 198. Before it is 15 Vulpix, and after it is 17 Ponyta. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 1, 2019. The printed size is 181. This checklist is longer, at 198 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Nine Temptations is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard 2 Fire Energy cards from your hand. If you do, switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with their Active Pokémon. The attack Flame Tail lists 90 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It is vindictive and relentless by nature. Those who cross it even once will be cursed for a thousand years, along with their descendants."

Ninetales (#038) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 41 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ninetales 12/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and You Iribi illustrated this one. 54 other cards of Ninetales list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads You Iribi. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Team Up set binder is where a full Team Up set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ninetales can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
