Alolan Golem 37/181 · Team Up

Team Up is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 1, 2019. The printed size is 181. This checklist is longer, at 198 cards. Alolan Golem is 37/181, in position 37 of 198 on this checklist. Before it is 36 Alolan Graveler, and after it is 38 Voltorb. The listed rarity is Rare.

Alolan Golem is a Stage 2 Lightning Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Golem (#076), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Alolan Graveler. In this catalog that name is Graveler (#075).

kawayoo illustrated this card. The same name is on 209 other cards in the catalog.

Golem (#076) has 25 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Golem 36/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Golem, while this one is Alolan Golem. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Golem list a different HP.

The attack Electromagnetic Bomb lists 20× damage. Move any number of Lightning Energy from your Benched Pokémon to this Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage for each Energy card you moved in this way. Super Zap Cannon is another attack lists 190 damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It's grumpy and stubborn. If you upset it, it discharges electricity from the surface of its body and growls with a voice like thunder."

I keep a set binder for Team Up, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Team Up set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golem can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms. I still need this card.
