Terrakion SM223/248 · SM Black Star Promos

SM Black Star Promos is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. Terrakion is SM223/248, in position 226 of 251 on this checklist. Before it is SM222 Mismagius, and after it is SM224 Celebi. The listed rarity is Promo.

Terrakion is a Basic Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Terrakion (#639), generation 5 (Unova).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Terrakion (#639) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Terrakion BW71/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Terrakion list a different HP.

The attack Cavern Counter lists 50+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. If all of your Benched Pokémon have at least 1 damage counter on them, this attack does 150 more damage. Boulder Crush is another attack lists 110 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "Its charge is strong enough to break through a giant castle wall in one blow. This Pokémon is spoken of in legends."

I keep a set binder for SM Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the SM Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Terrakion can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Swords of Justice. I still need this card.
