Mismagius SM222/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Mismagius is Pokédex #429, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Mismagius is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 110 HP. The card says it evolves from Misdreavus. In this catalog that name is Misdreavus (#200).

Mismagius sits at SM222/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 225 of 251. Before it is SM221 Blacephalon, and after it is SM223 Terrakion. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Psywave lists 20× damage. The cost is Psychic. This attack does 20 damage times the amount of Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon. Astonish is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Choose a random card from your opponent's hand. Your opponent reveals that card and shuffles it into their deck. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Feared for its wrath and the curses it spreads, this Pokémon will also, on a whim, cast spells that help people."

Mismagius (#429) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mismagius 10/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Mikiko Takeda illustrated that card, and Sumiyoshi Kizuki illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Mismagius list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Sumiyoshi Kizuki. I count 212 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mismagius can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
