Mismagius 28/95 · Call of Legends

Call of Legends is a set in the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 9, 2011. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Mismagius is 28/95, in position 28 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 27 Meganium, and after it is 29 Mr. Mime. The listed rarity is Rare.

Mismagius is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mismagius (#429), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Misdreavus. In this catalog that name is Misdreavus (#200).

Suwama Chiaki illustrated this card. The same name is on 102 other cards in the catalog.

Mismagius (#429) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mismagius 10/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mikiko Takeda illustrated that card, and Suwama Chiaki illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Mismagius list a different HP.

The attack Sleeping Spell lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Poltergeist is another attack lists 30× damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Look at your opponent's hand. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your opponent's hand. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Colorless -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its cries sound like incantations to torment the foe. It appears where you least expect it."

I keep a set binder for Call of Legends, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Call of Legends set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mismagius can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
