Meganium 27/95 · Call of Legends

Meganium is Pokédex #154, generation 2 (Johto). Meganium is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Bayleef. In this catalog that name is Bayleef (#153).

Meganium sits at 27/95 in Call of Legends, position 27 of 106. Before it is 26 Granbull, and after it is 28 Mismagius. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on February 9, 2011. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Sleep Powder lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass. The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Giant Bloom is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Remove 2 damage counters from Meganium. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Meganium's breath has the power to revive dead grass and plants. It can make them healthy again."

Meganium (#154) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Meganium 10/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 15 other cards of Meganium list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Call of Legends set binder is where a full Call of Legends set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Meganium can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
