Meganium 9/115 · Unseen Forces

Unseen Forces is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2005. The printed size is 115. This checklist is longer, at 145 cards. Meganium is 9/115, in position 11 of 145 on this checklist. Before it is 8 Jolteon, and after it is 10 Octillery. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Meganium is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Meganium (#154), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Bayleef. In this catalog that name is Bayleef (#153).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Meganium (#154) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Meganium 10/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Atsuko Nishida illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Meganium list a different HP.

Healing Aroma is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Meganium is your Active Pokémon, remove 1 damage counter from each Pokémon (excluding Pokémon-ex) (both yours and your opponent's) between turns. The attack Bouncy Move lists 50+ damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. You may put up to 5 damage counters on Meganium. If you do, this attack does 50 damage plus 10 more damage for each damage counter you put on Meganium in this way. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -30. Retreat cost is 3.

I keep a set binder for Unseen Forces, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Unseen Forces set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Meganium can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
