Kommo-o-GX SM71/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Kommo-o is Pokédex #784, generation 7 (Alola). Kommo-o-GX is a Stage 2 GX Dragon Pokémon with 240 HP. The card says it evolves from Hakamo-o. In this catalog that name is Hakamo-o (#783).

Kommo-o-GX sits at SM71/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 72 of 251. Before it is SM70 Shining Ho-Oh, and after it is SM72 Alolan Raichu. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Adamantine Press lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Shred is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Lightning, Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon. Ultra Uppercut-GX is another attack lists 240 damage. The cost is Lightning, Fighting, Colorless, Colorless. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Fairy ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Kommo-o (#784) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Kommo-o-GX 100/145 in Guardians Rising (2017). Both list 240 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo GX, and here it is Promo. 5 other cards of Kommo-o list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kommo-o can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
