Gyarados ex is a Stage 1 Tera ex Water Pokémon with 300 HP. In the Pokédex this is Gyarados (#130), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Magikarp. In this catalog that name is Magikarp (#129).
5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.
Gyarados (#130) has 56 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 39 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Gyarados 6/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Gyarados, while this one is Gyarados ex. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 300 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Ultra Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 55 other cards of Gyarados list a different HP.
The attack Waterfall lists 100 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water. Tyrannical Tail is another attack lists 180+ damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Colorless, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon already has any damage counters on it, this attack does 180 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: Tera: As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent's). The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.
I keep a set binder for Scarlet & Violet, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Scarlet & Violet set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gyarados can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Magikarp and Gyarados, Tera Pokémon, and Giant Pokémon. I still need this card.
