Cetitan 60/198 · Scarlet & Violet

Cetitan is Pokédex #975, generation 9 (Paldea). Cetitan is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 180 HP. The card says it evolves from Cetoddle. In this catalog that name is Cetoddle (#974).

Cetitan sits at 60/198 in Scarlet & Violet, position 60 of 258. Before it is 59 Cetoddle, and after it is 61 Dondozo. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on March 31, 2023. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 258 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Hammer In lists 50 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Sweeping Tackle is another attack lists 200- damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 less damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Ice energy builds up in the horn on its upper jaw, causing the horn to reach cryogenic temperatures that freeze its surroundings." The regulation mark is G.

Cetitan (#975) has 6 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2025. The earliest other card is Cetitan 63/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). That card lists 170 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. GOSSAN illustrated that card, and Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 4, and here it is 3. 3 other cards of Cetitan list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Anesaki Dynamic. I count 134 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cetitan can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). I still need this card.
