Cetitan 63/102 · Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos

Cetitan is Pokédex #975, generation 9 (Paldea). Cetitan is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 170 HP. The card says it evolves from Cetoddle. In this catalog that name is Cetoddle (#974).

Cetitan sits at 63/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos, position 63 of 165. Before it is 62 Sinistea, and after it is 64 Arctibax. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on January 1, 2023. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Avalanche lists 30 damage. The cost is Water. This attack also does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Rolling Slider is another attack lists 100× damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 100 damage for each heads. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon wanders around snowy, icy areas. It protects its body with powerful muscles and a thick layer of fat under its skin." The regulation mark is G.

Cetitan (#975) has 6 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 4 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2025. The earliest other card is Cetitan 60/198 in Scarlet & Violet (2023). That card lists 180 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Promo. Anesaki Dynamic illustrated that card, and GOSSAN illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 6 other cards of Cetitan list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads GOSSAN. I count 57 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cetitan can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). I still need this card.
