Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos
Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on January 1, 2023. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. Pelipper is 22/102, in position 22 of 165 on this checklist. Before it is 21 Murkrow, and after it is 23 Smoliv. The listed rarity is Promo.
Pelipper is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Pelipper (#279), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Wingull. In this catalog that name is Wingull (#278).
Nisota Niso illustrated this card. The same name is on 39 other cards in the catalog.
Pelipper (#279) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Pelipper 19/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Promo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Nisota Niso illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 10 other cards of Pelipper list a different HP.
Hearsay is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may choose 1: put a Supporter card from your discard pile into your hand; or search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, put it into your hand, and then shuffle your deck. The attack Wing Attack lists 90 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It is a flying transporter that carries small Pokémon in its beak. It bobs on the waves to rest its wings." The regulation mark is G.
I keep a set binder for Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pelipper can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
