Victini V 25/202 · Sword & Shield

Sword & Shield is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Victini V is a Basic V Fire Pokémon with 190 HP. In the Pokédex this is Victini (#494), generation 5 (Unova).

PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this card. The same name is on 81 other cards in the catalog.

Victini (#494) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Victini BW32/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Victini, while this one is Victini V. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 32 other cards of Victini list a different HP.

The attack Spreading Flames lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Attach up to 3 Fire Energy cards from your discard pile to your Pokémon in any way you like. Energy Burst is another attack lists 30× damage. The cost is Fire, Fire. This attack does 30 damage for each Energy attached to both Active Pokémon. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Sword & Shield, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Sword & Shield set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Victini can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
